Australian Stock Bulk Downloader - Atlantic Australia
Atlantic Australia is a desktop application built in Python. The aim is to help you provide live bulk data for your analysis.
It helps you to download historical price data of your choice of stock in seconds.
The source of this data is Yahoo Finance, so any stock in Yahoo Finance will be available to download. The information will be saved in a newly created folder in c drive named “atlantic” and file name “stocks.csv.”
The data will provide information by date for Close Prices
The application provides you bulk data for as many stocks as you want for a given period in one click.
The main aim of this application is to provide you with data in CSV format for your analysis. In addition, two graphs are added in the application for a glance at your selected stocks.
1. The price movement graph shows your price movement throughout your selected time range.
2. Normalised Price Graph. This shows you all stocks' performance against each other if they were all started at the price of $100. This will tell their movement over the period of time and who is the winner at the end of the period. Further, it will also show you who are more stable or risky stocks with fluctuations.
Please Note:
1. You can select as many stocks s you want but be mindful of your screen resolutions to visualise the graph.
2. Further, please be patient the first time you open the application after the installation, as it loads all required libraries.
3. Please ensure that every time you download data, the stocks.csv file is closed, as the application will use the same file name to save your next data sets.
4. Please make sure you are using the correct stock symbol from yahoo finance, otherwise, you won't be able to see any results.
The application downloads data directly from the Yahoo finance server. Therefore, the speed of showing graphs depend upon internet speed.

A password file is provided, which will be required during the setup process.
